Amanjena

The place

A pink, Moorish-inspired sanctuary in the Palmeraie, beside the Royal Mansour. Ed Tuttle designed Amanjena as a contemporary reading of Morocco — palatial, unhurried, precise.

The 40 pavilions and villas each hold zellige tiles, a green marble bath, a private garden, and a traditional gazebo of their own.

At the center, a 33-meter pool lies between majestic columns and day beds, a children's pool alongside. Two Moroccan-style hammams, two clay tennis courts, a yoga and movement studio, and a gym fill the quieter hours. The Moroccan Restaurant draws on Berber, Andalusian, and Mediterranean influences.
