The place

Seven historic riads in the Medina, joined into one intimate escape. IZZA takes its cues from the American designer Bill Willis — decadent, artful, contemporary — and keeps to moody tones throughout. The 14 rooms are handcrafted one by one, in zellige, tadelakt, and arabesque detail.

Three courtyards, three kinds of water: a 10-meter open-air pool, a cleansing foot pool, a wall fountain you hear before you see.

A serene spa, a hammam, and a fitness space sit within the walls. At Noujoum, chef Ahmad El Hardoum sends out small and sharing plates — Mediterranean flavors, traditional Moroccan cooking methods.
