Tangier, Morocco
Villa Mabrouka
The place
A white 1940s villa in Tangier, once home to Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé. Jasper Conran reimagined the house in a soft, elegant register — nothing loud, everything considered.
The 12 suites are each their own: soothing palettes, refined vintage furniture, antique tiles, bespoke details.
The garden is the heart of it — romantic, lush, with two dreamy pools tucked among the green. A traditional hammam and spa wait indoors. The restaurant moves between the dining room, the terrace, and the poolside, serving classic Mediterranean dishes built on market-fresh seafood and locally grown vegetables. Three bars, should the evening ask for one.
