The place

Encantada Tulum sits at the front row of Tulum Beach, where the coastline meets the jungle. The houses follow the region's architecture — Mayan-style thatched roofs, stucco walls, nothing raised above the trees.

There are eight rooms and suites, no more. Tropical hardwood, local handmade artwork, floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening onto a private wrap-around deck. Organic bath products in the bathroom, panoramic views beyond it.

The beach is private, kept for guests alone. Lounge beds under palapas; not much to do but stay. NÜ Tulum cooks vibrant local cuisine with rare ingredients from the Caribbean Sea and the Mayan jungle, while the in-house restaurant keeps to modern Mexican dishes and cocktails.
