NEST Tulum

The place

NEST Tulum began as a private residence — one of the first properties on Tulum Beach — and its original facade has been lovingly preserved. The interiors honour Mayan craftsmanship: Indigenous limestone, natural plasters, tropical wood finishings.

The 13 accommodations hold to a simple palette of neutral and black, finished with custom pieces from local artisans. There is also a large standalone villa — four bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen — sleeping up to ten.

The private beach, open to guests alone, is a few steps from the rooms. At NÜ Tulum, chef Luis Aguilar cooks vibrant local cuisine from rare ingredients out of the Caribbean Sea and the Mayan jungle; the in-house restaurant handles easier hours with modern Mexican dishes and cocktails.
