The place

A Spanish-Mediterranean revival building a stone's throw from the Miami Beach waterfront, tuned to the golden days of Española Way. The mood is vintage and a little moody — pinks and browns, old glamour.

The 145 rooms and suites carry rich jewel tones, vintage wooden furnishing, patterned rugs, touches of golden brass. Bathrooms are lined in Zellige tile. Italian linens on the bed, an espresso machine within reach, fast internet when you need it.

Up top, the rooftop pool is laid in checkered sage green tiles, with The Roof alongside for cocktails. The Drexel serves modern Mediterranean; El Salon stays intimate, moody, and slightly out of time.
