The place
A historic Georgian-style building on Ocean Drive — once named the Betsy Ross — now a 4-star hotel in South Beach. Behind the grand facade, white and dark brown, softened by classy, vintage-inspired furniture.
The 130 rooms and suites follow suit: white and wood with the occasional bright note, marble bathrooms, Sferra linens, Malin + Goetz on the counter.
Two pools, two moods. The rooftop pool opens onto the Atlantic; the courtyard pool keeps to itself. There is a gym with modern equipment, and at LT Steak and Seafood, chef Laurent Tourondel cooks New American.
