The place

A secluded retreat in Puerto Rico's Vieques, built for slowing down. The lodgings vary — treehouses, cabins, houses, even an airstream — but all open to the air, with chic furnishings, an outdoor shower, a balcony, and a fully equipped kitchen.

The pool sits at the center, ringed by tropical flowers and palm trees. Each morning, a vegan Ayurvedic breakfast arrives at the pavilion beside it.

For the rest: The Maloka, a scenic floating deck for meditation and yoga, and a spa working with Ayurvedic therapies, Chinese medicine, and specialty treatments. Nature does what remains.
