Forestis Dolomites

The place

On a forested slope of Brixen's Plose Mountain, Forestis looks straight at the Dolomites. Opened in 2020, it gathers three modern buildings around a restored historic house, the interiors kept minimal — spruce wood, dolomite stone, little else.

The 62 suites carry the same restraint in soft, earthy tones. The penthouse goes furthest: a sundeck, a wooden sauna, a private rooftop pool with nothing between it and the peaks.

The stone pool slips from inside to open air. Around it, a fitness room, a yoga studio, wooden saunas, treatment rooms, and a terrace warmed by a fire pit. In the kitchen, chef Roland Lamprecht practices forest cuisine, touched by the flavours of the Mediterranean.
