The place
A monumental modern building in the heart of downtown Montreal. Gilles & Boissier drew the interior in neutral and pastel hues, with soft, refined furnishing through the communal spaces.
The 169 oversized rooms and suites are minimal and exquisite — marble, velvet, and black brass in careful measure. A four-poster bed, floor-to-ceiling windows, a full marble bathroom with Byredo toiletries, a Lavazza coffee machine.
The indoor pool sits under skylights, ringed by day beds. A fully-equipped gym runs 24 hours. At Marcus, an al-fresco restaurant, the traditional brasserie is given a contemporary reading.
