G-Rough
The place
Hidden in a narrow 17th-century building near Piazza Navona, in Rome's Centro Storico. Reimagined by Gabriele Salini, G-Rough opens on a lobby of mirrored bricks, white and red hexagon tiles, and artistic wallpaper — then quiets down.
The 10 suites and apartments are residential in feel and rougher in texture: exposed timber ceilings, patina walls, curated artwork, vintage designer pieces from the 1950s. Society linens on the bed, Malin & Goetz in the bath, a Marshall speaker within reach.
G-Bar, the wine gallery in the lobby, stays open through the day — wines, cocktails, drinks without alcohol. There is no restaurant on-site, but the neighborhood eats well.
