Habita Hotel

The place

Habita Hotel sits inside a floating glass box in Polanco — five stories of glass above the Mexico City street. It opened in 2000, ahead of its time then, still crisp now. Behind the facade the mood turns quiet: a tranquil mid-century calm of cream and wood.

The 36 rooms and suites hold to white, dark grey, and timber, furnished in the same mid-century register. A work desk, a rain shower, organic toiletries, a TV, wifi.

A heated outdoor pool and Jacuzzi wait with loungers, a bar and seating beside them for lingering. There is also a compact gym, a sauna, and a spa. The in-house kitchen serves contemporary international dishes in a stylish setting.
