The place
Hotel San Fernando reimagines a 1947 Art Deco apartment building in Condesa, Mexico City. It opened in June 2023, but the bones remain — casement windows, encaustic tile floors, stained glass catching the afternoon light. The palette draws on Mexico's own vibrant culture.
The 19 rooms and suites spread across five floors, in pink and cream, with La Metropolitana furniture, colorful ceramic tiles, and plants. Some come with a kitchenette or a private balcony.
Breakfast is served each morning on the rooftop terrace, on the house. Lounge Fernando opens from 1 pm to 11 pm with a curated list of drinks and light dishes, and the neighborhood's restaurants and bars wait just beyond the door.
