The place

In the heart of La Geria Natural Park, volcanic country. Hotel César Lanzarote opened in 2023 behind a white 1930s facade; inside, designer Virginia Nieto works in greens and neutrals drawn from the nature of the island.

The 20 rooms and suites feel chic and rustic at once — historic whitewashed walls and beams, contemporary decor, striped patterns, curated objects. Some open onto private terraces with expansive sea views.

Outside, a curvaceous pool with striped loungers looks across the volcanic landscape. The gym is open-air, machines and free weights. At Cesar, the kitchen turns out a Canarian menu with a fresh, modern accent.
