The place

Tucked into Point Dume, Hotel June Malibu spreads across four acres of lush estate beside the Pacific Coast Highway. Its historic mid-century bungalows wear a sleek navy-black facade; inside, they are cozy and calm.

There are 13 bungalows, in three configurations, all in a calming white and neutral palette — wooden furnishing, vintage fixtures, designer lighting, local artwork and photography. Casper bedding, Aesop in the bath, a Tivoli radio on the shelf, and a private patio outside the door.

The heated outdoor pool sits among plush loungers, umbrellas, and beautiful vegetation. For food and drink, the hotel partners with a locally acclaimed California deli, bakery, and café — a curated menu, taken at the lounge or out on the patio. The beach is a short drive away.
