The place

A church, a schoolhouse, a rectory, and a convent — four historic buildings in the Marigny neighborhood of New Orleans, gathered into one 4-star hotel. StudioWTA and ASH NYC kept the old-world character close: original details, curated antiques, rustic touches left in place.

The 71 rooms and suites spread across three of the buildings, each building carrying a slightly different theme, all leaning nostalgic and vintage. Moody shades of blue, red, green, or yellow, sharpened by bespoke antique furnishings.

Inside the former rectory, The Elysian Bar serves as restaurant and bar, its dishes and drinks as vibrant as the setting.
