The Chloe
The place
A 19th-century Garden District mansion by architect Thomas Sully, in Uptown New Orleans. Local decorator Sara Ruffin Costello kept it moody — Southern Victorian, rich with vintage furnishings, antiques, and bespoke objects.
There are only 14 rooms. They run simpler than the parlors below: cream-white walls, sophisticated wooden furnishing, touches of navy. Italian linens, Five Wits toiletries, Piety & Desire chocolates, Apple TV.
Behind the house, a checkered-tiled pool ringed by pale pink loungers, umbrellas, and greenery, with a poolside bar for small bites and tropical drinks. In the all-day restaurant, chef Todd Pulsinelli cooks a seasonal menu with a modern Creole flair.
