At the waterfront of Lake Tremblant, in Quebec. The 30 suites are all generously sized — the smallest at 700 square feet — in warm, earthy tones: classy furniture, dark wood accents, Egyptian linens, spa bathtubs, and a private balcony each.

Spa Sans Sabots keeps the outdoor infinity pool and hot tub, along with a gym, a sauna, a steam bath, and massage rooms. The seasons decide the rest — skiing, hiking, boating. At Restaurant La Quintessence, an al-fresco table where Laurentian flavours meet French cuisine.
