Hotel Sanders

The place

Just south of the Nyhavn Canal, in a building standing since 1869, Hotel Sanders keeps its own tempo. Lind + Almond shaped the interior — moody, nostalgic, Mid-Century furniture in muted palettes, bamboo and rattan warming the edges.

The 54 rooms and suites follow suit: elegant vintage furniture placed with care, wooden floors, curated antiques and objects. In the bathrooms, bespoke tiles and chrome fixtures catch the light.

There are loan bikes for exploring the city. Back at the house: Sanders Kitchen, serving classic Scandinavian dishes all day, and TATA, an intimate cocktail bar that keeps its old-world charm close.
