The place

Steps from the water in Cannes, a gorgeous 1930s building holding a 5-star hotel. Designer Raphael Navot took his cues from the surroundings — a breezy coastal palette runs through the 45 rooms and suites, all curvy lines, contemporary furniture, and warm wooden touches.

The spa is made for slow hours: a plunge pool, a sauna, a hammam, a sensory shower, and treatment rooms beyond.

Two tables. Villa keeps things laid-back and nutritious; Bella works a classic Mediterranean menu from the best market produce. Above it all, the rooftop bar looks straight out to sea.
