The place

In the center of the island, near the Piazzetta, stands a pink neo-Gothic palace from the nineteenth century. Il Capri Hotel takes the color seriously: behind the facade, historic bones meet a playful contemporary hand.

The 21 rooms hold to pastel pink — vintage furniture, ogee-arched headboards, red velvet curtains, a bathroom tiled in pink.

The rooftop pool looks over the island to the Gulf of Naples; sunbeds line the terrace. A fitness space and a treatment room round things out. In the garden, Osteria Partenope serves traditional Italian cooking. The rooftop bar keeps to classic comfort food and cocktails.
