The place

Ten connecting shophouses on the edge of Chinatown, behind a facade of teal and orange. With Higher Studio, KēSa House settles a cozy contemporary calm into the historic bones.

The rooms take their cue from the exterior — white, teal, wood — with dark timber floors, modern furnishing, and the original louvered windows still in place. Because they follow the old structure, no two are quite alike.

A fully equipped communal kitchen and laundry suit the longer stay. Otherwise there is the lounge, the garden terrace, and the tables of Chinatown a short walk away.
