The place
La Reserve 1785 began as the home of a French antiques collector, near Canggu Beach. French architects Laure Juhen and Louis Mariotti reworked the house into a small hotel where French elegance settles into Balinese craftsmanship — a pairing hard to find elsewhere.
The suites keep to wood and neutral tones. Refined furniture, chandelier light, modern artwork. Egyptian bedding, a Marshall speaker, Netflix, French snacks, bath products made in Bali.
Outside, a large pool looks onto lush botanical garden. An intimate spa offers traditional Balinese treatments, and Le Café Rouge folds French and Balinese flavors into a single menu.
