The place
Two Georgian sandstone warehouses at Salamanca Place, Hobart, both raised in the early 1800s. With Circa Morris-Nunn Architects, the facades were kept as found; inside, modern pieces sit against the old.
The care shows in the grain. Original timbers and stonework remain in place, holding the buildings' history, while new furniture brings a quiet contemporary charm.
The 41 rooms span the two buildings, Moss 25 and Moss 39, dressed in timber and moss green with sleek furniture. Sumptuous bedding, handmade Italian bathroom tiles, a rain shower, Grown Alchemist toiletries, a TV, a Bose sound system, coffee facilities, free wifi.
