NoMad London
The place
NoMad London sits in Covent Garden, inside a Grade II-listed nineteenth-century building. Roman and Williams, the New York studio, drew the interior as a conversation between two cities — Victorian at heart, cosmopolitan at the edges.
The 91 rooms and suites carry the theme: eclectic vintage furniture, curated artwork, antique objects, dark hardwood underfoot. In the bathrooms, mosaic tiles and Carrara marble vanities.
The heart of the house is the restaurant in the atrium, where light falls through a soaring skylight onto chef Michael Yates's menu of local and regional produce. Side Hustle serves Latin American-inspired plates and vibrant drinks; Common Decency waits below ground, a lounge given to cocktails.
