The Emory
The place
A sleek glass-and-stone building by Richard Rogers, just south of Hyde Park in Belgravia. All suites. Rémi Tessier gave the public spaces a vibrant sun palette — dark lacquered wood, reflective accents, colourful artwork.
The 59 suites carry the hands of André Fu, Pierre Yves Rochon, Alexandra Champalimaud, Patricia Urquiola and Rigby & Rigby: neutral hues, curved furniture, textured carpets, quiet oriental touches. Bathrooms are full marble, with Surrenne toiletries and Dyson products.
Guests have access to Surrenne itself, a private wellness club with a large indoor pool, a steam room, a state-of-the-art gym, a yoga studio and treatment rooms. Abc Kitchens cooks farm-to-table and Latin-inspired dishes; the rooftop bar holds the skyline.
