The place
A red-brick Victorian townhouse from 1888, hidden near Chelsea's Sloane Square. French designer Francois-Joseph Graf reimagined the interior with a Parisian flair, and it shows in the details — patterned floors, stained glass windows, Loro Piana curtains.
The 30 rooms and suites keep to a serene ivory palette, cut with occasional black and dark wooden accents, each outfitted meticulously with antique furniture.
On the sixth floor sits the restaurant, inspired by The Peacock Room and decked out in antiques, serving a creative French and Asian menu — spicy lobster pasta among its unique dishes. On the ground floor, an atmospheric speakeasy bar waits for the cocktail after.
