Seven Victorian townhouses between Kensington and Chelsea, joined into a quiet whole. Local studio Thurstan gave the interiors an English country calm — 156 rooms and suites in soft hues, with tasteful modern furnishings, ceramic-tiled showers and Le Labo toiletries.
The garden is the point. Walk it, or sit. Inside, a quiet library, a refresh room, a gym open through the night.
Two rooms carry the evenings. Pippin's, a neighbourhood restaurant, cooks nostalgic British flavours with a modern hand; Sprout, an intimate bar, pours cocktails.
