Radisson Collection Royal Hotel

The place

Arne Jacobsen's modernist high-rise beside Tivoli Gardens. The original hotel opened in 1960, and Space Copenhagen's 2018 refurbishment treats that inheritance with respect — the lobby sets modern furniture against marble and velvet.

The 260 rooms and suites are more understated: white and dark wood, sleek furnishings, a marble bathroom, subtle velvet touches. In some rooms, the architect's own Egg and Swan chairs stand exactly where they belong.

A spacious fitness center is well equipped for the mornings. For the evenings, ISSEI Copenhagen — the hotel's signature dining concept — sets the vibrant flavours of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine side by side.
