The place

Regent Santa Monica Beach opened in late 2024, a 5-star beachfront address with the Pacific filling every window. The 166 rooms and suites are serene and generous — the smallest starts at 720 square feet — set in soft, neutral hues with contemporary furniture, colorful artwork, and a deep soaking bathtub.

The pool deck is the crown jewel, its sweeping views running out over the ocean. There is also a 10,000-square-foot spa holding a state-of-the-art gym, a sauna, a steam room, and a plunge pool.

Orla by Michael Mina anchors the dining. From the elegant interior to the scenic terrace, the menu turns bistro-style dishes toward Greece and Egypt.
