The place

An 18th-century townhouse in Porto’s artsy Bombarda quarter, founded by siblings Emanuel and Patrícia. Rosa Et Al is small, and its attention goes to the interiors.

The seven suites read like rooms in an artistic contemporary home: white and wood, mid-century furniture, hand-crocheted throws, industrial-style lighting, curated art and objects. Each has a private balcony, a clawfoot soaking tub, Castelbel toiletries and comfortable bedding.

Downstairs, the kitchen serves all-day brunch, heavy with fresh vegetables and local herbs. Some Sundays there is a roast; some evenings, a private dinner.
