The place
A 16th-century monastery on a Portofino hillside, remade as a summer hideaway. Martin Brudnizki drew on the Dolce Vita and Ligurian craftsmanship; the 52 rooms carry dreamy hues, exquisite furniture, custom frescoes, marble bathrooms, and private balconies.
The heated outdoor pool sits immersed in the gardens, holding some of the best views of the coast. The Dior Spa keeps a tennis court, a 24-hour gym, a large terrace, and its treatments.
Three places to eat and drink. La Terrazza reimagines Ligurian dishes; Baratta Sedici is the whimsical room for a drink.
