Stockholm Stadshotell
The place
A 19th-century building in Södermalm, originally designed for King Oscar I, now holds Stockholm Stadshotell. A circle of creatives reimagined the interior with a quiet, contemporary elegance. The 32 rooms rest in creamy hues — refined artisanal furniture, marble bathrooms, bespoke Italian linens.
Below, a courtyard garden and a relaxation lounge. A cedar sauna, an ice bath, a sensory shower. Two restaurants and a bar share the house: the all-day bistro follows the seasons with an ever-changing menu, while Mastel serves an intimate set dinner in the former chapel.
