The place
A contemporary building by EPR Architects in Marylebone, just north of Mayfair. Amsterdam studio Concrete filled the interiors with flowers — living plants, light wooden panels, marble floors, colour where it counts.
Each of the 199 rooms and suites carries a large floral wall panel, echoed by modern furnishing and bespoke objects. The bathrooms are marble-lined, stocked with Jo Loves.
Two venues hold the days and nights. LAVO is coastal Italian — fresh pasta, handmade pizzas — open throughout the day; The BoTree Bar keeps evenings lively, with exacting mixology and a guest DJ playing live each week.
