The place

An ivory villa from the 19th century, set in a quiet Alpine valley above Adelboden. Inside, Momentum reworked the old mountain-lodge idea into something lighter: sleek furniture, a few playful objects, art on the walls.

Seventy-two rooms, no two layouts quite alike. Sage green throughout, wood and black metal, a checkered wool blanket folded at the foot of the bed. Many open onto a private balcony and the mountains beyond.

Wellness runs through the place. A heated infinity pool outdoors, an indoor pool, a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, a gym that never closes. At Bryan Williams, Alpine cooking carries a Welsh accent. The Axe Bar keeps things easy, for a drink and something small.
