A historic landmark in downtown Charleston, given its present shape by Brooklyn studio Workstead. The lobby leans Art Deco — opulent furnishings, dark wooden floors, gold and marble catching the light.
The 155 rooms and suites speak lower. White and neutral, dark wood, chrome accents. A bespoke Stickley botanical armoire stands in each; the bathrooms are Vermont marble.
A spa offers treatments and massages; the gym is fully equipped. Then up to Citrus Club, the rooftop cocktail bar, with Charleston panoramic beneath it.
