The Jaffa
The place
In the heart of Jaffa, a grand 19th-century complex — once home to a French Hospital — restored into a hotel of quiet contemporary elegance. John Pawson shaped the communal areas in a mid-century modern key.
The 120 rooms and suites carry the same restraint: ivory, with subtle notes of lime green and light grey. Chairs by acclaimed French designer Pierre Paulin. Oversized bedding, a marble bathroom.
Outside, a resort-style pool sits among plush loungers and greenery. There is a spa and a modern fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment. Golda's serves a Northern Israeli menu all day; Giardino leans modern Mediterranean.
