The place
High in The Otemachi Tower, a KPF high-rise in Chiyoda, Aman Tokyo begins with a hush: a lobby of charcoal granite under a skylight wrapped in shoji paper.
Kerry Hill Architects carried the language into the 84 suites — classic Japanese woodwork, sleek modern furnishing, traditional shoji screens. Each has a stone furo tub, and the city spread out far below.
The indoor pool is crafted in granite, its floor-to-ceiling windows holding the whole skyline. Five places to eat, among them Arva, for rustic Italian, and Musashi, for omakase sushi in the Edomae fashion.
