The place

An 18th-century home in the centre of San Miguel de Allende, rethought with AG Studio. The open central courtyard was cast from a single piece of concrete; around it, bright yellow-tiled walls, Andalusian-style balconies, bold archways.

The 16 rooms and suites run in playful shades of red, yellow, pink and orange — quirky modern furniture, black floor tiles, objects made by local artisans, plush bedding, Loredana toiletries.

Up on the rooftop terrace, a small plunge pool and plenty of room to lounge. Bekeb Artisanal Mixology shares the roof, pouring contemporary cocktails alongside small plates in the open air.
