The place

A 19th-century estate near the waterfront in Lagos, restored slowly and with care. Casa Mãe wears a soft boho ease — artisanal objects, greenery threading through the rooms, nothing raised above a murmur.

The 34 accommodations spread across four buildings, each with its own atmosphere. In Jogo da Bola, the rooms are pared back to oak furniture and handmade terracotta tiles. Everywhere, the details hold: organic Cocomat bedding, Oliofora skincare, pieces by local artisans.

The spa carries the weight of the stay — an 11-metre outdoor pool, a solarium, a wooden sauna, a steam room, hydrotherapy showers. At ORTA, the kitchen cooks with fresh local produce.
