The place

Right on the Puerto Escondido beachfront, Casa Yuma is a contemporary casa of chukum and stucco. Inside, a neutral palette works through local Mexican materials — quiet surfaces, warm underfoot.

Twenty-five rooms and suites, minimal and refined. Hand-picked wooden furniture, objects by local artisans, striped textiles. Each opens onto a private garden or a rooftop terrace.

At the water’s edge, a tranquil pool with cabanas, a fire pit, and the ocean running to the horizon. A cozy indoor room waits for reading or work. The restaurant serves coastal Mexican with a modern hand; the open-air bar pours spirits, wines, and artisanal cocktails.
