Hotel Humano

The place

Hotel Humano stands a few steps from Zicatela Beach in Puerto Escondido — barefoot luxury inside a contemporary Mexican structure. The 39 rooms borrow from their surroundings: exposed concrete, raw brick, tropical wood, finished with burgundy ceramic tiles and industrial fixtures.

Every room keeps a private terrace or balcony. Some add a plunge pool with the ocean beyond.

There is a courtyard pool and a rooftop plunge pool, along with a sauna and treatment rooms. The main bistro serves authentic local dishes in the open air; the rooftop bar takes the view, and the lobby coffee shop takes the mornings.
