The place
In Bakurocho, a 37-year-old business hotel, reimagined. Behind the red brick facade, CASE-REAL has stripped things to simple palettes and minimal furnishing — proof that an affordable Tokyo stay can still be exact.
The 122 rooms and suites hold to white and forest green, with dark grey carpets and the building’s original arched windows left in place. Bespoke bedding, Aid toiletries, a HATRA bathrobe on the hook.
Food is taken seriously here. Abno, on the first floor, is an experimental cafe and bar pouring specialty coffee from a Danish roastery — good for lounging, better for working. Nol is the fine-dining counterpoint, French-inspired.
