Near the Louvre, in the 1st arrondissement, Hôtel Madame Rêve occupies a post office built in 1888. Laurent Taïeb reimagined it without erasing it — behind the grand sandstone facade, vintage furnishings, crystal chandeliers, and pieces by Parisian artisans keep the old-world grandeur intact.
The 82 rooms and suites are more contemporary, shaped by a motto from designer Andrée Putman. Rich browns and golds, custom furniture, herringbone floors, velvet curtains, mosaic-tiled bathrooms. Many open onto a private balcony with an expansive view.
Food matters here. Kitchen by Madame Rêve serves contemporary French cuisine in a glamorous dining room, while the Roof, a scenic perch, pairs cocktails with Japanese-inspired dishes. A fitness room, a sauna, and a spa complete the picture.
