The place

Fifteen minutes from Florence, in the Tuscan hills, a grand fifteenth-century villa. Behind the ivory facade, Il Salviatino keeps its Renaissance character and touches it only lightly.

Each of the 45 rooms and suites has its own temperament — pale green, blush pink, jewel tones — finished with sophisticated furnishings, antique objects, and artwork. The Greenhouse Suite comes with its own private greenhouse; the Ojetti Suite, a rooftop jacuzzi.

Outside, infinity pools cascade toward the green hills. A gym and a spa — sauna, steam bath, plunge pool, treatment rooms — sit within. At Da Giacomo al Salviatino, meals happen in the open air, built from the freshest local ingredients.
