The place

A contemporary concrete complex in a green valley on the northern side of Ericeira, built to blend into its surroundings. Immerso looks out over the shimmering coastline and keeps its voice down.

The 37 rooms and suites take their palette from the land and the sea — pine wood, concrete, bespoke furniture and textiles, handmade rugs. Ceilings curve gently overhead, an echo of the waves. Nearly every room opens to an oversized balcony with lounge chairs.

The outdoor pool holds sweeping views of the region; the spa adds a sauna, a steam bath, and a sensory bath. A gym and an outdoor yoga deck round things out.

At Emme, Michelin-starred chef Alexandre Silva takes a laid-back, modern run at regional recipes. Outside, Emme on Fire cooks over wood.
