JAM Hotel Lisbon
The place
An old office building on the banks of the Tagus, reworked with Lionel Jadot into something playfully rustic. Behind JAM's reddish-orange facade, upcycled furniture, concrete walls, and exposed ceilings come together with an easy eclecticism.
The 100 rooms run from Extra rooms for two to Mega rooms for six, all in light wood and colourful patterned textiles, with plush bedding, a Bluetooth speaker, and fast wifi. Affordable, and unbothered about it.
Up top, the rooftop pool and terrace look out over the river. CABANA keeps the pool company — drinks, tapas, the occasional stretch of live music. For a proper sit-down, MOJJO by chef Mauro Airosa folds Portugal into Asia, Africa, and South America.
