Lost Lindenberg
The place
Lost Lindenberg hides in lush beachfront jungle near Pekutatan, far from Ubud and Canggu. The hotel is a series of floating wooden pavilions after the traditional Balinese treehouse — the work of architect Alexis Dornier and Studio Jencquel.
There are eight suites. Dark wood, tasteful furnishing, handmade ceramics, floor-to-ceiling windows. Plush bedding, wifi, and not much else to interrupt the quiet.
A natural pool with loungers sits among the trees; a few steps further, the sand turns lava black. The tropical garden keeps enough corners for doing nothing, and the kitchen cooks Balinese food with a modern, Western inflection.
