Maison Albar – Le Monumental Palace occupies a 1923 building by Italian architect Michelangelo Soa, its Gothic facade giving way to full Art Deco within — lacquered wood, rich color, glamorous furnishings.

The 76 rooms and suites carry the same period weight: deep palettes, patterned rugs, large marble bathrooms. Deluxe bedding, Nuxe toiletries and a Nespresso machine come quietly as standard.

Below, the Grand Bleu Spa holds a shimmering indoor pool, a steam room, a sauna and a fitness center. Le Monument, the Michelin-starred restaurant, moves between Portuguese and French flavors; Yakuza turns to Japanese cuisine with a Brazilian accent.
