The place

Five historic buildings on Largo de São Domingos, joined into one. The oldest dates to the fifteenth century, the newest to the nineteenth. Space Copenhagen reworked the interiors with a quiet modern hand, leaving room for murals, sculptures, and light pieces by local artists.

Eighteen rooms, suites, and penthouses. Pale pink and green, kept moody. Wood, stone, brass, and textiles, with dark wooden touches set against the softness.

On the ground floor, Cozinha das Flores and Flôr — Nuno Mendes cooking with northern Portuguese ingredients. A contemporary bar alongside, for an unhurried cocktail.
